Todd Flippin
I have a user that has a licensed copy of v12. About 3 weeks ago, it upgrades to v13 Trial. I have gone thru the deactivation process, uninstalled v13 and reinstallee v12 numerous times. When I install v12, it automatically activates with the correct v12 license. After a few days, it all happens over again. What is the fix for this issue?
Official Nitronaut Allain Umailin Posted April 6, 2020 Official Nitronaut Report Share Posted April 6, 2020 Hello @Todd Flippin, Thank you for reaching out to us through our Community Forums! If your machine is part of a Domain within your organization / company, I believe your IT Admin may have placed a Group Policy (GPO) and attached the Nitro Pro 13 MSI installer somewhere. This has happened to one of my case before and it was fixed after removing that MSI package. If this is not the case, we also had similar cases where a Shavlik program is the culprit. It's a patching software that scans computers and will push-out updates to computers and the software therein it finds that need updating. If you have such software installed, Nitro Pro could be listed there to keep it updated without you noticing. Below are patching softwares we have encountered so far as culprits: -GFI LanGuard -F-Secure -Glarysoft Software Update Thanks for choosing Nitro Pro and I hope this helps! Todd Flippin
Aha, I am using GFI LanGuard on the Solarwinds RMM platform. Thanks for the info... No, to figure out how to exclude that update/patch. I appreciate the info more than you know.
