Power User Steven Zakulec Posted August 6, 2018 Power User Report Share Posted August 6, 2018 Open up PDFSupportTools.exe in the Nitro 9 program directory, or click on the Support Tools icon in the Help tab. In the PDF Creation tab, uncheck all the Office programs, and hit update addins. Then go to Browser Plugins, uncheck the boxes there, and hit Update Plugin as well. You can also disable the addin in Microsoft Office by going to the manage addins section of the File menu. There should be an option in File, Preferences to disable the update checker. I don't think there is a Russian OCR module.
Upgrade Visioner
Thanks for reply. I don`t see an option to disable update checker totally. Is there any other including manual way?
Power User Steven Zakulec Posted August 8, 2018 Power User Report Share Posted August 8, 2018 You could poke around the registry- Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Nitro\Pro\9.0\settings on my copy has a couple of update settings there, including one that looks promising. Upgrade Visioner
I found "[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Nitro\Pro\9.0\settings\Preferences\kPreferences]\kPrefUpdateCheckingInterval" parameter with a "/i 0" value. What am I supposed to change?
Power User Steven Zakulec Posted August 9, 2018 Power User Report Share Posted August 9, 2018 On my copy (which is the business version, not the retail version), there's a set of 3 keys in that location, including one called UpdateDisabled which is set to 1. Otherwise, I'm not entirely sure how to accomplish that.
