Reed
I encrypted a PDF file and emailed it. The recipient is using Adobe and saying the following message is shown when they try to open it: "A digital ID was used to encrypt this document but no digital ID is present to decrypt it. Make sure your digital ID is properly installed or contact the document author." Is this on their end? Was I supposed to provide something else other than the document itself? How does this resolve? Power User Steven Zakulec Posted May 9, 2017 Power User Report Share Posted May 9, 2017 You'll see this message if you used certificate-based encryption rather than password-based encryption. If you used Sign or Certify in Nitro, it uses a locally-created certificate (unless you purchased one from a vendor online and pointed Nitro to that). The recipient needs your public key to decrypt the document. This article should cover what you need to know: http://kb.gonitro.com/knowledgebase#/answers/Nitro Pro/000001664 If not, you can let me know me and I'll try to get a better answer for you, or you can open a support ticket and have support walk you through this: https://www.gonitro.com/support/ticket
