How to create stamps without the boarder frame?

I'm annotating my review of documents via Nitro PDF. I use checkmarks and other symbols frequently. How do I create a checkmark stamp without the boarder around the check mark?

You can adjust the opacity of the image but I'm afraid you cannot make the background of the checkmark transparent. 

A workaround I can suggest is to use the QuickSign tool instead. This creates an image with a transparent background.
